headed to rustys after our our finish and then headed home for a well deserved beer hey its 10am and jareds football game starts in half hour...... run .........i told greg whoever came in first on the race went to the car to get camera for the others finish well i came across the finish line and greg shows up saying omg i just got the camera .. we were seconds apart though a win for greg!!!!!!!!!!!!

maui maraton / half marathon

yep greg and i started out for a 530am start at the whalers village to run the 13 miles to launiopoko beach and back!!

unbelievable we finished in great time pappa beat mumma by less than a minute under 2 hours 151 and 152 mumma came in 6 th in age group and pappa cam 112 over all amazing as this is the longest we have ever run trust me the body is not meant to run this far for soooo long ... we had a great time and are hooked so planning our next race....

there was over 1300 runners rock on giffordz

jared had his first game and he was water boy ............he has strep throat and cannot play till next week there he is with the coaches in the grey shirt team did great though tied 20 to 20 exciting game we cheered the rest of the team on...............

we had to pass a baton 18 times and we were sooo happy to be done at the end first runners came in at 5 hours and the last to arrive 9 hours later soo we felt happy with our team weather was generous with some rain and clouds ...stopped at hamoa beach for a sunset swim after the after race festivities arrived home around 730pm greg made lobster dinner yum some off our team spent the night in hana but we had to return for the kids etc so we made the most of it lobster wine and night night oh my cannot believe we signed up for the marathon..................................

wow pappa do you look good !!!

well for those of u who dont know about the hana relay its a grueling run from kahului airport to hana town although it is a fun run teams of 6 people enter for a total no of 133 teams .... everyone dresses up and decorates there 1 vehicle accordingly......we ended up doing very well 11th in our division and 28th place out of all the teams over 52 bridges and 612 curves well some of u know how steep some of the runs must of been and we ended our run in 6 hours 45 minutes so very proud of our 7.48 mile average some of the runs were 3.5 miles with 2.5 miles uphill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was grueling and fun and of course all the teams were cheering each other on it was unbelievable we are sooo excited that we signed up for the maui marathon this weekend ......... we will try for the half!!!!!!

here we are and its 15 mins too start time and we are still skirting up at the house
arrived at 627 am for our 630 start i was the first runner managed to do a couple stretches take of my glasses and hula top and remembered i forgot to drink water ohh well its my first leg 2.6 miles up to the hana highway via the heliport fairly easy run but wishing i remembered the h20!!!!

nalani turns 25 yep took her for a lunch at cafe ole on the golf course and out shopping for a few needed clothes!!
